Great stuff Litos. The only part I disagree on is the strength of last season's schedule as far as the first 12 games.

Through 12 games this year VCU has played three teams in Kenpom.com's top-100, going 1-2 in those games, all against top-50 teams coincidentally. Last season the Rams played seven games against Kenpom top-100 squads, winning one game against the top 50 as well (to three losses, all be it in close games) but also winning three games against teams ranked 50-100...two of which ended up NCAA Tournament teams, one being FGCU who went to the Sweet 16. The other team was Alabama who made the NIT version of the Elite 8 (losing by 1 to Maryland). Those four top-100 wins were also by an average margin of victory of 16.25 points. Basically last year's team was shredding opponents in wins, and arguably against a tougher schedule (although this year's two best wins have road bonus points).

That said, we're 9-3 this year just as we were last season and the season before that and a game up on our Final 4 season, but I think to fans it feels worse because we had that No.10 attached to our names at one point and are dealing with our first season of seriously high expectations, probably in the history of the program.
